Speaking of non-wooden structures, stripped oak looks awesome for mushroom buildings. I'm thinking this one or this one would be a suitable design choice for me.
They are like the good versions for inside furniture structure. They looks polished and will make walls and furtniture seem different. Mlnecraft thats what i wanted kinda. New building optione. I hope they add this behaviour to the recipe system "Use tool X on block Y to get block Z".
Could be used for many things. Still might be difficult to convey and they've Android skat they won't do a in-game tutorial. Well, we now have 2 or 7 depending how you Minecraft wood skin recipes of that kind.
I don't think there would be any big problems with being Minecrqft to add extra recipes in data packs. But generally, a tool icon, and the toast showing which block becomes which. Not sure about how to make a recipe book though. Maybe they could add a thing similar to Industrialcraft's forge hammer, where you put the block and the tool in the crafting table together.
Does it turn the log into a different item or is it just an alternative, temporary texture like the path block?
The path is a different variation of the grass block, not a different texture but it uses the same ID with the variation number separated with a ": Depends on the type of Minecraft wood skin tree. To be honest, the cow hide texture works amazingly for, well, actual cow hide in tepees and stuff. I tend to use it for that, covering up the top part with snow layers or carpet but that won't be necessary for mush longer, will it? That's if you are right-clicking with bonemeal.
Just hook up a dispenser and the problem is solved! That great to know that they don't become solely building blocks after being stripped!
I like multi-functional blocks! What I'm waiting for is slabs with the texture of regular stone. The stone slabs look pretty ugly, and they don't match the other slabs at all. This is going to be a great bit of variety to add to builds, especially for interior support beams.
I've tended to work around that by using different logs for each row, but I can definitely see this helping with all sorts of log uses in builds. With this implemented, could we also have the ability to place chiseled quartz like a log ported from the bedrock editions for feature parity? They should make the action drop a bark item that can be used elsewhere. Maybe lay it out as a rug or make paper.
When you strip woov log, you are removing Minecratt outer layer of bark off, but it is still a raw piece of wood. The newest snapshot has these new blocks. In an upcoming snapshot, stripping logs of their bark will give you a bark item which MMinecraft can craft into the Bark block they recently added into the creative menu!

Probably would need to limit it in some Mihecraft otherwise it might become too cluttered. Variation is everything, I think it's nice. Someone made this into a mod, so I suppose there was some interest for the concept. The right-click action renders auto-tree farms impossible to use.
You throw the bark away anyway when you're making plants. Granted, "makes sense" has never been a guarantee about anything in this game. Only seem a logical progression. Hopefully soon.
But I love the jungle one! Coming to 1. Maybe I should have put that in my title: The top row are normal wood wooc And below? What is meant by 'stripped logs'?
